Coop de Production Lanaufibres is a collective of 16 agricultural producers from Lanaudière. Hemp production was banned in Canada at the beginning of the 20th century. It has been allowed again during World War II, only to be banned right after. It's in the middle of 1990 that Canada allowed hemp to be produced again. The conditions to grow hemp are very restrictives.
This oil is extracted from the hemp weed. It has a hazelnut taste and a green color due to the chlorophyll it contains. The oil is extracted using cold press techniques. It contains little saturated fats (1 mg for 10 ml of oil), and it's a source of Omega-3 polyinsaturated fats (55% are Omega-6 fats, and at least 15% are Omega-3 fats of vegetable origin).
